Fix GPS errors with the GoPro .MP4 or .LRV and .gpx import options
Sometimes the GPS tracks in the GoPro .MP4 or .LRV files have errors resulting in the route drawn being all over the place. This can now be corrected by clicking the Fix GPS Errors button, clicking the start and end of the error and then drawing in the correct route.
Click the Add Video Route button.
Click the GoPro .LRV or .gpx options.
Select all the .LRV or .gpx files representing your video route.
If there is a GPS error it should be obvious!
Wait until all the files have processed.
Zoom in and click the Fix GPS Errors button.
Click the start of the error, a blue circle marker will appear.
Click the end of the error, a blue marker will appear and the error will disappear.
Turn off the Snap option as we are not on a snappable road.
Click along the correct route.
Click the blue marker to end the correction.
The GPS error has been fixed. Please note this part will have no timestamps and so position will be estimated during playback.
Zoom out to check the whole route for any more errors. The previous steps can be repeated. When you are happy click the Get Video Button to go to YouTube.
Find the video for this route in YouTube Studio and click to copy the video link.
Switch back to Maps.video and paste the link in the input. Write a description and submit the route. If prompted to continue sign in with social. It may take sometime to process the route, please be patient.
The corrected route is now live on the map! Click the share button.
Copy the permalink.
Paste the permalink in the YouTube video description at YouTube studio so people on YouTube can find the video on the Streetview Video Map. Click save.
You are done, enjoy the video!
